Hi it's Julie from our UK office here. I wanted to share some recent pictures of our visit (White Lion Journey retreat) to meet the children at one of the wonderful day care centres, that is supported by the trust in a local town called Acornhoek.
These bright lights are living in really tough circumstances, many are orphans and face harsh poverty every day. We wanted to meet them all and we shared some simple gifts with them and also the 54 White Lion finger puppets that many of you have kindly knitted or/and sponsored via a regular monthly donation to the Trust. I hope you enjoy browsing through the pics, thanks to Berry for taking them.
The trust works with the children to help them ignite their LionHearts and to learn about their natural heritage - the White Lions and all of nature in this most beautiful country. The Star Lion Programme really helps these young Cubs with a sense of belief and confidence in themselves that really makes a difference to their lives, encouraging them to become stewards of their natural heritage.
Our whole group was naturally, blown away by these beautiful youngsters whose hearts are so enormous and their lights so dazzling, even through all they have to face day to day. It was truly an honour to spend time with them and the amazing lady that made the centre a reality, Daphne, pictured below.
If you'd like to help by becoming a regular monthly donor please visit this link for 3 simple steps and help support this powerful programme with the 5000 children the trust is working with. Thank you. Even £3 per month makes a huge difference. Love Julie xxx
