Marah's Long Walk to Freedom: Dedication to the Queen of White Lions December 2000 - April 2007 Marah, the legendary White Lioness who led the crucial reintroduction of the White Lions back to their endemic homelands of the Timbavati region, died tragically while hunting for her cubs. Marah's story has been an inspiration to both scientists and spiritual leaders. Following her early years in captivity, she went on to excel in the wild, proving her exceptional hunting prowess and survival abilities time and again. African leaders regarded Marah's birth with great sacred significance. They instructed Linda Tucker (Founder of the Global White Lion Protection Trust) that it was her life-task to ensure the freedom and safety of this extraordinary lioness and to secure the freedom and protection of White Lions throughout the world. |
