Meet Letaba

Queen Marah’s firstborn and one of the two Akeru Brothers, Letaba’s generous and kind-hearted nature is legendary.

A sacred warrior, he was ready to take risks and get dirty, often getting blood and mud on his face, even as a cub showing limitless courage – unafraid of getting hurt, picking himself up again, shaking the porcupine quills from his mane, then padding off into the sunset. Adventurous, confident, resilient, and extremely extroverted, Letaba’s love for the lionesses was immeasurable, tirelessly coaxing Khanyisa back from her grief after she lost her sister in a poacher’s snare. His patience and paternal love and kindness finally reached its full expression in fatherhood, when Little Ingwavuma II suddenly arrived.
